CUDO Compute supported the launch campaign for National Data Centre Day, with Chief Marketing Officer Vince Howard and Product Marketing Lead Kir Devaser taking part in its Back to School initiative. The company highlighted its involvement in a public update celebrating the people and practical expertise behind digital infrastructure.
National Data Centre Day took place on 12 September 2026. The date marks the anniversary of the UK Government’s recognition of data centres as Critical National Infrastructure. The campaign celebrates their contribution to everyday services, from healthcare and finance to cloud computing and AI.
The 2026 Back to School theme brings that story into classrooms and homes. Aimed at helping children and teenagers aged eight to sixteen understand the infrastructure behind familiar digital services, it also introduces the range of careers available across the industry.
CUDO’s message connects that educational ambition with the realities of delivering computing capacity. An AI workload depends on much more than a processor: suitable sites, power, cooling, connectivity and experienced teams all contribute to an operational service. The company highlighted career paths across engineering, energy, construction, operations and technology.
For Bolt, CUDO’s participation reflects an important part of the infrastructure story. The sector’s long-term development depends on people who can design, build and operate complex facilities, as well as the capital and technology deployed within them. Introducing those careers earlier can help more young people see where their interests and abilities might fit.
By supporting the launch campaign, CUDO helped bring attention to the physical systems behind the digital world and the people responsible for them. It is a contribution to an industry conversation that reaches beyond computing capacity to the next generation of talent.
